SMS Program Disclosure

How U.S. dealerships using the Omniauto platform collect SMS consent and send messages to leads and customers.

Tech Provider Model

Omniauto Group Corp ("Omniauto") is a U.S.-based SaaS platform that provides AI-powered CRM software to licensed automotive dealerships across the United States. Under the A2P 10DLC framework, Omniauto operates as a registered Tech Provider that supplies messaging infrastructure to participating dealerships.

How the model works:

  • Omniauto is the platform operator and Campaign registrant with The Campaign Registry (TCR). All SMS traffic on the platform is routed through Omniauto's registered A2P 10DLC Campaign.
  • The dealership (for example, Take The Key) is the message sender and content controller. Each dealership operates its own marketing channels (website, WhatsApp Business, Facebook, Instagram) and is responsible for obtaining valid opt-in consent from its leads and customers.
  • Consent is collected by the dealership through one of three documented methods (website form, in-conversation, or in-person) and is stored verbatim in the Omniauto platform CRM with timestamp, IP address, user agent, and consent method.
  • Omniauto routes outbound SMS messages from the dealership through Twilio (the Bandwidth-equivalent CSP), enforces opt-out keywords platform-wide, and maintains audit logs of all consent records.

How Leads Opt In

Leads and customers opt in to receive SMS messages from a participating dealership through one of three documented methods. The dealership records the consent in the Omniauto CRM and Omniauto retains the record for the duration of the customer relationship plus 12 months.

Method 1 — Website Contact Form

When a visitor submits a contact form on a participating dealership website (e.g., takethekey.com), the form includes an unchecked checkbox with the following disclosure: "I agree to receive SMS messages from this dealership regarding my inquiry, including appointment reminders and sales follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance." The checkbox is never pre-selected, and the visitor must actively provide consent. The system records the consent timestamp, IP address, and user agent together with the lead record.

Method 2 — In-Conversation Consent via WhatsApp or Messenger

When a visitor initiates a conversation with the dealership through WhatsApp Business or Facebook Messenger and provides their mobile number, the AI assistant explicitly asks: "May we send you appointment reminders and follow-ups via SMS to this number?" SMS messages are only sent after the user replies YES or provides another affirmative response. Both the consent request and the user's response are stored verbatim in the conversation history.

Method 3 — In-Person at the Dealership

When a visitor provides their phone number directly to a sales representative at the dealership, the representative verbally confirms: "Is it okay if we text you appointment reminders and follow-ups?" The representative then records the verbal consent in the dealership CRM, including the timestamp, representative ID, and consent method marked as verbal.

Message Types You May Receive

Once you opt in with a participating dealership, you may receive the following message types:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders for test drives, sales appointments, and service visits booked through dealership online channels or by phone.
  • Sales follow-up and conversational messages from dealership BDC teams to leads who initiated contact through dealership-owned channels.
  • Re-engagement messages to leads who previously interacted with the dealership but later became inactive.
  • Fallback communication when WhatsApp message delivery fails (only when SMS consent was previously provided).

Sample messages

Hi {{firstName}}, this is Take The Key (a dealer using Omniauto). Reminder: your test drive for Toyota Camry 2024 is tomorrow at 10:00 AM at our Doral location, 8200 NW 27th St. Reply C to confirm, R to reschedule, STOP to opt out.

Hi {{firstName}}, this is Take The Key. We saw you were interested in our Toyota Camry and wanted to check if you'd like us to reserve one for a test drive this week. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

Hi {{firstName}}, this is Take The Key. We attempted to contact you via WhatsApp, but the message could not be delivered. Your appointment for tomorrow at 10:00 AM is confirmed. Reply STOP to opt out.

Opt-Out and Help

Recipients can opt out at any time using any of the following keywords as a reply to any SMS message. Omniauto enforces opt-out platform-wide and immediately suppresses further messaging.

  • Opt-out keywords: STOP, OPTOUT, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, STOPALL.
  • Help keywords: HELP, INFO. Replying with a help keyword returns the dealership's contact information and a reminder of how to opt out.
  • Upon opt-out, recipients receive a single confirmation message: "You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe."
  • Standard message and data rates may apply for both inbound and outbound messages.
